  1. Had a great but punishing weekend at Mousehole Lakes hard work in that heat but grateful that Lorraine managed an 18.15 old warrior on the mousehole bait as we were packing up and I had a lovely 13lb Saturday evening on the faithful spicy lobster. As ever thank you to Jon for looking after us and Dave and Joanne for your hospitality Joanne your cooking is amazing we thought you were going to pass out in that heat cooking for everyone a big thank you. Looking forward to seeing you again soon

  2. Hiya thanks for a fantastic 48hrs. I can not rate your fishery enough, from the well kept lakes, amazing conditioned fish and top notch food. Also the friendly and helpful staff.

  3. Absolutely love this place, very well presented with excellent facilities, the owners Dave and Jo and the bailiffs are the nicest people you will meet, clean toilets and shower block, pukka food brought to your swim and the chance of catching some of the prettiest fish in the county! Very fairly priced! Tackle brought to your swim from your car on a golf cart what more could you ask?! An added touch I fish with a wheelchair user who wants for nothing! Accessible toilets and showers are rare at a fishing complex but this place ticks it all, give it a try!!!!

  4. Had great day today fishing the Swift lake, caught nice plump roach, good sized bream, lovely plump perch and a very nice common carp all on the bottom, 3 pound line, 12 hook bread or red triple maggots. Facilities all excellent and ideal for ladies too. Go and fish it you’ll love it

  5. Had another great time down on Kingfisher, excellent fishing, excellent food, excellent people, can’t rate this place enough. John the bailiff very helpful, listen to him you will catch more fish. Dave and Jo care more about the fishing than the money that’s rare these days. Big thumbs up to you all thanks again Big Mick.

  6. WOW! Mousehole Lakes have reinvented fishing compared to my heyday 40+ years ago! If there were venues like this idyllic spot I’d never have gone to school! Many thanks Dave and team for letting me share your passion for the fishery on my very enjoyable first visit yesterday. Hopefully I’ll be back soon for another relaxing day on swift lake.

  7. Visited today with the intention of just a quick look and ended up spending nearly 2 hours. What can I say, well this is a very well thought out fishery, very pleasant warm welcome from the owner with a complimentary cup of tea, taken round the lakes by the bailiff on his buggy. Shown all the pegs and received knowledgeable info about each swim. Will definitely be back, could say this will become a regular venue.

  8. As a disabled angler, I went to have a look prior to fishing. Received a warm welcome from the owner and was driven around the complex by John the bailiff, very knowledgeable man. All accessible, facilities are spotless. will be fishing there next week for sure. A very well thought out fishery with the angler at the forefront.

  9. I do not normally leave a comment, but just had to this time. My wife and I both use wheelchairs and visited Mousehole lakes last week. The venue is really well thought out, with hard paths easy access to the swims and the disabled toilet block was perfect. The owners were really friendly as was the bailiff. We had a great time and although not catching much we should really have fished the match lake we enjoyed our time there and will certainly fish there again. Thanks for all your help

  10. 3 friends and myself have just returned from a 60 hour fish on Kingfisher Lake. 2 of us had one each and the other 2 lost a fish each but that’s Fishing..

This was our first visit to the lakes. The weather was cold and very wet but we received a very warm welcome from the owners Jo and Dave and the bailiffs Callum and Phil. They couldn’t do enough for us and our next visit is now booked!

I am an older woman and I feel that Mousehole Lakes is a venue I could fish on my own, from a safety point of view. On my next visit I won’t need to bring any dinner as Jo knocks up superb meals, eaten in the rest room. The facilities are great, clean loos and although I didn’t use it the shower block looked nice and clean (unlike me!).

The fishing will, hopefully, improve as the water warms up and the fish start moving about and there are a good head of carp in Kingfisher, biggest is 34lb I believe. All in all, considering the horrendous weather, a good time was had by all of us. Look forward to seeing you all at the end of May.

  11. Just finished 5 days on Kestrel. 5 of us fished and had a great session. I fished this fishery a few years back before Dave and Jo owned it and what a difference. The Kestrel Lake is a good looking lake with lots of features, all the fish we caught where in great condition and nice looking fish.

The fishery is well looked after and Bailiffs really helpful. The food Jo and Tracey prepared for us was great and all the other Anglers we met and spoke to where friendly and really helpful. Between us we caught a 30lb Mirror, a number of 20s Mirrors and Commons and numerous Teens. The Toilet and Shower Facilities are excellent and hot shower after a days fishing is very welcoming.

Thanks again to Dave, Jo, Stuart and Phil for a great 5 Days we will definitely be back.

    Paul

  12. Just returned from our first visit to Mousehole lakes fishing Kingfisher lake.

On arrival we were made to feel most welcome by Dave and Joanne the owners and Keith the bailiff. The lakes are a credit to the owners, swims all wood chipped, sensibly spaced and clean. The toilet facilities are spotless and the canteen offers a varied menu and fairly priced, we enjoyed a full English breakfast for a fiver. The rest area includes two vending machines for those out of hours drinks and snacks.

All in all a great experience and nothing was too much trouble for Dave and Joanne and we will definitely be visiting again.

  13. Hello all. I have fished Mousehole for a number of years now and would definitely recommend it’s lakes to anyone who has not fished here before. (Just Leave Room For Me)

The owners Dave and Jo are amazing and will stop at nothing to make your stay the very best possible.
The team have put so much work in to make this the waters to fish in Kent if not England

The facilities are flawless, a shower in the morning and breakfast will be waiting. I can honestly say i feel like part of the family. I hope to see you all on the bank soon.

  14. Mousehole! what a place to be and that’s before the fishing starts. Dave and Jo (owners) have made us feel welcome and have put in loads of hard work to make this the best day ticket water in Kent. Facilities are second to none and shower in the morning this place is like home from home.

We have fished Kingfisher and Kestrel so far and the help from Keith and Phil the Bailiffs is very welcome. This is not a rubs water but has a very good stock of fish and quality conditioned fish at that.

All I will say is try this place and you won’t want to fish anywhere else. Beautiful surroundings, great food, friendly people (staff and fisherman.)

Don’t look like we will be fishing any other Lakes for a while!!!!

  15. Just spent 60 hours on Kingfisher with my wife over the Easter holiday, this was our first visit and will certainly not be the last.

From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed by Joanne and Keith who answered our questions and pointed out swims etc. During our stay nothing was too much trouble for any of the bailiffs.

Managed a few commons the biggest being 17.9lb, the fishing conditions were relatively difficult so was pleased with the results and looking at the pictures on site of the captures people have had we will be looking forward to meeting some of the residents of the lake in the future.

The whole place was immaculate the toilets were very clean and we witnessed (or my wife did) them being cleaned regularly throughout each day. The on site cafe was fantastic, the food was great and Tracey was very obliging even delivering to our swim and the cabin was very handy for charging phones etc. In general the facilities were first class and the team that looked after us were even better.

The lake itself again was kept very tidy the swims have plenty of room between them and are very spacious and easily accessible, being disabled this is important to us as we do generally take everything but the kitchen sink with us. We fish lots of local day ticket waters but Mousehole in my opinion stands above the rest as the way you are looked after is fantastic, these people genuinely want you to enjoy yourselves and catch some nice fish everything is taken care of.

On our first evening Joanne and Dave (the owners of the lake) come to us and asked if we were OK and being looked after. Talking to them it become apparent that their passion was to show fisherman a good time they have obviously worked hard to deliver what people want rather taking your money and letting you get on with it, this is why the place stands out for me. The bailiffs Keith, Phil and Stewart were all brilliant.

We would like to thank you for a great weekend and look forward to visiting many times in the future.

    Steve Easterby.

  16. I have just fished swift Lake with four of my grand kids to look after and it was an absolute pleasure to be there. The grounds are well kept and maintained and the swims all easy to set up on. All the fish caught were in good condition and there were plenty of them. The toilets were spotless and easily accessible. Keith the bailiff made regular visits and was very helpful to my youngsters. we will certainly be back some time soon .

  17. I have fished mousehole for around 3 years now. Dave and Jo are really nice people they welcome you any day of the week. I have now fished kestrel lake for the first time over a 36 hour session I have landed a lovely looking common carp at 15lbs on my first night at 23:47 hours and a whopping 23lbs on my second night at 2015 hours. The service you receive is top stuff food is great they are polite and like one of the lads.

I will definitely recommend to anyone who has not fished here before to come down and have ago don’t be disheartened if you don’t catch on your first time out (that’s fishing). The bailiffs Keith and Phil will help and advise you where to drop your hook bait but it’s then up to the fish to take it.
Well good luck to those who are coming down to mousehole for the first time and those that are regulars. Tight lines folks.

  18. Just came back from an early morning session on the match lake, my first time using a pole and I was kindly guided by the bayliff Keith to land a pristine 7lb common and a big mixed net! I’ve fished here for a good 4 years now it’s the most well kept, well mannered fishery I’ve come across

Thanks to Jo and Dave and Keith for his help
